This coming Thursday marks what will be the 54th running of the annual Zatopek:10, Australia’s premier night of athletics. The event, which features many competitions is hallmarked by the prestigious Men’s 10,000m run.
The race, which now doubles as the Australian 10,000m championships, was named in honour of one of the greatest distance runners of all time, Czech, Emil Zatopek after the humility, generosity, charm and charisma he showed, particularly toward the Australian athletes of the time.
